I first heard this at Nott’s Palais back in the mid 70s, at the time covered as Alexander McKinley. I don’t know why it was covered up because copies were readily available from dealer’s record boxes on the day. It was a typical Mecca sound that somehow got lost in the deluge of discoveries and the ‘new versus oldies’ arguments raging at the time. This track with its driving beat has been a long favourite on mine and never got the attention it deserved. Not an expensive item prices ranging from £10-£20 for an issue. Andrews other big track on the scene is on Early Bird Records which has a definite 60s sound to it and worth checking out.
